Swiss Tournament
The tournament will be single stage. The format will be 6-round swiss.
Swiss
A Swiss-system tournament is a non-eliminating tournament format with a fixed number of rounds of competition; thus each competitor (team or individual) does not play all the other competitors. Competitors are paired with rules that ensure that each competitor plays against opponents with a similar score, but does not play the same opponent more than once. The winner is the competitor with the highest aggregate points earned in all rounds. Fast and balanced, it allows you to find a winner without making everyone play against everyone.

Round
In each round, players are paired according to their current score. To ensure that the pairings are fair and balanced, the previous round must be completely finished before the next round can begin.
Each week participants must schedule the game themselves, so opponents will have to agree on the date and time. Because the Swiss system is blocking, each round will have a maximum duration of 1 week. This allows the timing to be met and the tournament to end in an orderly and smooth manner.
Each round involves a number of matches equal to half the number of participants, since each match involves two players.
Match
Each match will be played best of 5 games. This means that players will have to win 3 out of 5 sets to win the match. Each match will be played according to standard table tennis rules.
Scoring system
The score for each match will be awarded as follows:
- 1 point for the player who wins the match (wins 3 out of 5 sets)
- 0 points for the player who loses the match
- 0 points to each player in the case of a tie (match not played, so as not to encourage voluntary abandonment)
Matches not played
In case that a match is not played, for any reason of unavailability of one or both players, the result will be recorded as a tie. This will avoid delays and maintain the flow of the tournament.
Score entry
At the end of each match, players will be able to directly enter the final scores on the platform, so that the leaderboard and pairings for the next round will be automatically updated.
